At Harlequin Amateurs we believe in working together to help create a better future for all our children. From nurturing our players and encouraging them to embrace Rugby’s values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship, to supporting our communities at home and abroad, we strive to be more than a simple sports club.
It was with this in mind that we decided to donate all of last seasons 150th Anniversary strips that we didn’t give to our Players (U5 – Over 55...) to an underprivileged school in Nelspruit, South Africa. Some of our U13 Boys were going on a Cricket Tour with their school, Newland House, and we asked them to deliver the strips for us.
It was a small gesture meant to bring a moment of happiness to less fortunate children and as one of our members commented ‘It was a brilliant thing to do, love their smiling faces!’
