The first Harlequin Amateurs Mini & Youth training session of the season took place on Sunday and it was wonderful to see some new faces as well as returning players.
Our Director of Rugby, Hugh Thomas, coaches the U16s and provides leadership to the coaches for other age groups. We also benefit from the expertise of the Lions Sports Academy.
HARFC Chairman Myles Woodley said: ‘It was really encouraging to see the turn out and the enthusiasm shown by players, parents and carers, coaches and volunteers. It’s going to be a busy season and we have more expertise within the club than ever before.
‘On Sunday, we saw young players learning about our exciting style of rugby and our heritage, having fun and making new friends. That’s what being part of Harlequin Amateurs is all about.’
If your child hasn’t trained or played in the Minis (U5 to U11) or Youth (U12 to U18) teams before, we offer two free taster sessions so they can come along and experience first-hand what makes Harlequin Amateurs such a special club. Click here for loads more information.
Huge thanks to our stalwart supporters Kellie, Adi, Belinda and Rosie who raised a staggering £800 from a second-hand kit sale during training.
