The U11s took twenty-two players to the London Scottish tournament and had two teams gracing the Richmond Athletic Ground in Quins 150th Anniversary kit.
Two pools saw the nominally designated A and B teams taking on the hosts, London Scottish, followed by old rivals Wasps, the very well drilled Old Midwhitgiftians and finally, Old Cranleighans.
It was a day of mixed results. Some great handling was often outweighed by poor rucking and weak tackling. One of the teams relied on great teamwork, the other on individual flashes of great running. Neither team found it easy to retain possession but neither did they ever give up.
The boys seemed to enjoy themselves, and several useful lessons will have been taken away by the coaching staff and the boys themselves.
Training as normal at Teddington Lock next Sunday
