This weekend saw two teams of HARFC U11s travel to Wasps for the Premiership Festival. The morning was set to be cloudy and blustery, but luckily the Wasps' ground at Acton appeared to have stood up well to the recent downpours. The festival took the form of a 'round-robin' tournament, with each of the Quins teams playing against teams from Wasps, Saracens and London Irish.
Throughout each match, and indeed the whole morning, both Quins U11 teams grew stongly into their rugby. Everyone showed great commitment in the tackle and at the breakdowns, resulting in some of the best rugby we have seen the U11s play so far this season!
Overall, it was a mixture of emotions when it came to the results against some well drilled teams, but all players should be very proud of their efforts.
We will, as always, take away some new things to work on to help develop the U11s develop their game play, which includes moving the ball wider in attack and continued pressing up and forward in defence. A very good, positive mornings rugby by all! Well done.
